Without a modern website
- Harder to make a strong first impression
- Customers have to guess what you offer
- Hours, location and pricing are hard to find
- The business can look smaller than it really is
Custom websites for local businesses
Turtle Media creates custom websites for local businesses that want to look professional, showcase what they offer, and make a stronger first impression online.
The problem
A lot of great local businesses are running on a website they built years ago — or no website at all. The work is excellent. The online version of it just hasn't caught up.
This isn't about your business being behind. It's about your business deserving better.
How it works
Most web designers ask you to trust a description. I'd rather just show you. Before we ever talk about money, I build a real website concept for your business — your name, your services, your photos — and put it in front of you.
Usually a local business doing great work with little or no online presence — the kind of place people recommend but can't find online.
Not a template with your logo dropped in. A real site designed around your business, your services, and the way your customers actually look for you.
You see exactly what your business could look like online — on a laptop and on a phone — before you decide anything.
If you love it, it's yours.
If you don't, you've lost nothing but the time it took to look.
Services & pricing
No packages to decode, no monthly retainer, no surprise line items. Here's exactly what it costs.
Custom Website
Everything your local business needs to establish a professional presence online.
$500
Informational business websites — the kind that show who you are, what you do, and how to reach you.
What I don't build (yet): online stores, payment processing, booking systems, or customer login portals. I build informational business websites, and I'd rather tell you that up front than sell you something I can't deliver well.
Featured work
A kennel and an auto glass shop shouldn't get the same website. Here's what a concept looks like when it's designed around one specific business.
Pet Boarding, Daycare & Grooming
A kennel with decades of loyal customers and no simple way to see what they offer. The concept gives boarding, daycare and grooming room to breathe, leads with real photos of the yards and the dogs, and keeps the phone number one tap away on every page.
Auto Glass & Window Tinting
Windshields, ADAS recalibration and ceramic tint — a shop that does serious technical work, with none of it easy to read online. The concept puts the services, the warranty and the phone number right where a customer looks first.
Both projects above are website concepts created by Turtle Media to show what these businesses could look like online. Want to see one built for yours? Ask for a concept.
Before & after
Same business. Same services. Same phone number. The only thing that changes is how it comes across to someone deciding whether to call.
Springdale Kennels, a real San Jose business. Before is their website as it looks today; after is the Turtle Media concept — a proposed design, not a live site.
Why it matters
For a lot of people, your website is the first version of your business they ever see — before the shop, before the work, before you.
A polished, current website helps a business feel established and worth calling. A missing one leaves people guessing.
Customers should understand what you offer in a few seconds — not have to piece it together from a phone call.
Your hours, location and services stay available at 11pm on a Sunday, when someone is deciding who to call tomorrow.
Your website should reflect the quality of your actual work. If the work is excellent, the site shouldn't be the weak link.
Good websites,
more customers.
About
I started Turtle Media because I kept noticing the same thing: a local business doing genuinely good work, with almost nothing to show for it online. A good business shouldn't be held back by a bad website.
So I build custom websites that give local businesses a professional place online and make it easy for someone to see what they offer and how to get in touch.
Turtle Media is small on purpose. When you work with me, you're working with me — not a sales rep, not a ticket number, not a team you'll never meet. I design your site myself, I show it to you myself, and if something needs to change, you're telling the person who built it.
Good websites, more customers.

$500 for a custom website, one time. If you want me to get it live on the web, that's an additional $100. If a project ever needs something outside of that, I'll tell you before I start — not after.
A custom-designed, mobile-friendly website built around your business: your services or products, your business information, your photos and branding, and clear contact details. It's designed from scratch for you rather than dropped into a template.
If you're a local business, most likely yes. I work with shops and service businesses — barbers, salons, auto shops, pet businesses, contractors, cleaners, landscapers and similar. Email me what you do and I'll tell you honestly whether I'm the right fit.
No. A lot of the businesses I work with have nothing online, or just a social media page. If you do have a website already, I can design a replacement that actually represents the business.
That's normal, and it's workable. Clear phone photos of your shop, your team and your actual work usually beat generic stock images — they look like you. I'll design around what you have and tell you if there's a specific shot worth taking.
Yes — that's the $100 add-on, and I do the work rather than talk you through it. I publish the site, connect your custom domain, and configure everything so it loads properly on phones and computers. When it's done I hand over the accounts and access, so your business owns and controls its own website. Domain and hosting fees are paid directly to those providers; I'll tell you what they cost before anything is decided.
It depends on the size of the site and how quickly I get your information and photos. Rather than throw out a number that may not fit your project, I'll give you a realistic timeline once I know what you need — before you commit.
Yes. Reach out and tell me what changed — new hours, new services, new photos. Small updates are quick; if it's a bigger change we'll talk through what's involved and what it costs first.
Then you say no, and that's genuinely fine. The whole point of building the concept first is that you get to see the real thing before spending anything. No pressure, no obligation.
